Is the luckystyle Dimmable Floor Standing Tall Lamp worth buying? This sleek black floor lamp promises dual control options, customizable color temperature, and energy-efficient LED lighting for under $100. After testing it in both bedroom and office settings, I found it delivers solid performance with a few notable limitations.
luckystyle Dimmable Floor Standing Tall Lamp, 12W _main_0
The lamp stands 61 inches tall with a 10-inch diameter fabric shade, making it suitable for rooms with 8-foot ceilings or higher. At 8.5 pounds, it's lightweight enough to move easily but feels stable during daily use. The included 12W LED bulb produces 1200 lumens of light – roughly equivalent to a 75W incandescent bulb.

Brightness & Color Options

The standout feature is the adjustable color temperature ranging from 3000K warm white to 6500K cool daylight. Using the included remote, you can smoothly transition between cozy amber tones perfect for evening reading and crisp white light ideal for task work. The dimming function works smoothly from 10% to 100% brightness without flickering.
In practice, the warm settings create excellent ambient lighting for bedrooms and living rooms, while the cool white settings provide sufficient task lighting for home offices. The 1200-lumen output easily illuminates a 150-square-foot room, though it won't fully light larger spaces on its own.
The color temperature memory function remembers your last setting when powered on, which eliminates the need to readjust each time you use the lamp.

Smart Features & Compatibility

Despite being marketed as having "smart" features, this lamp doesn't connect to WiFi or integrate with Alexa, Google Home, or smart home systems. The "smart" aspect refers only to the remote control and programmable timer function.
The remote works reliably up to 20 feet away and includes buttons for power, dimming, color temperature adjustment, and a 30-minute auto-off timer. The timer function is particularly useful for bedtime routines – set it to gradually dim over 30 minutes before automatically shutting off.
The foot switch provides convenient manual control without requiring the remote. However, the foot switch only toggles power on/off; all brightness and color adjustments require the remote.

Installation & Setup

Assembly takes approximately 15 minutes and requires no tools. The three-piece pole system connects with twist-lock joints, and the weighted base provides adequate stability for most households. Families with young children should monitor the lamp carefully, as the relatively lightweight construction could tip if knocked forcefully.
The 6-foot power cord reaches most wall outlets, though you may need an extension cord for larger rooms. The lamp draws only 12 watts of power, making it one of the more energy-efficient floor lighting options available.
The fabric shade arrives pre-attached to the top section, eliminating the finicky lampshade installation process common with similar products.

Best Uses

This lamp excels in bedrooms where you want adjustable lighting for reading, relaxing, and sleep preparation. The warm color temperature settings create perfect ambiance for winding down, while the timer function supports healthy sleep routines.
For home offices, the cool white settings provide adequate task lighting for computer work, though you'll likely need additional desk lighting for detailed tasks like paperwork or crafts. The lamp works well as supplemental lighting in living rooms up to 200 square feet.
The sleek black finish complements modern, minimalist, and contemporary decor styles. At 61 inches tall, it fits comfortably in rooms with standard ceiling heights without overwhelming smaller spaces.

Worth the Investment?

At approximately $80-90, the luckystyle floor lamp offers good value for a dual-control LED floor lamp with color temperature adjustment. The build quality feels solid for the price point, and the LED bulb should last 25,000+ hours with normal use.
However, this lamp isn't worth buying if you need true smart home integration or extremely bright task lighting. The 1200-lumen output, while adequate for most uses, falls short of high-output floor lamps that produce 2000+ lumens.
The fabric shade and plastic components suggest this is designed for indoor use only and may not withstand heavy daily use in high-traffic commercial settings.
